Five on Friday

This was a hard one to make happen considering we just got back from vacation and the hubs, aka T, is off work.  I will make it short and sweet.

-One: Something New-
I found a new picture app for my phone that I L.O.V.E.  It is amazing.
I also like Afterlight, but now this one I primarily use.
It is $1.99.

-Two: Inspiration-
I am so inspired by these images on Pinterest.
We have been looking at bedroom furniture, but we have expensive taste.
Honestly, I prefer a vintage decoration style, so I am dying over this old door turned into a headboard.
We are going to our local ReStore to see if we can snag a treasure.

-Three: Remember-
Sometimes I am guilty of getting caught up in what isn't going my way, what I don't have, etc.  I am a very blessed person and shouldn't have to be reminded of that, but when I need that reminder I simple need to stop, breathe, and look around.

-Four: Happenings This Week-
I blogged about our beach trip this week.
You can read about it here.

-Five: Product/s I Love-
There are two things that are a necessity for my arm.  My Pandora bracelet and a watch.  Here is my newest Fossil watch.  I have several watches that are more dressy/femanine, but I wanted something to put on with jeans and a casual button up.

Five on Friday

[One]
I am loving, like L-O-V-Eing some hair products right now.
The first is from the "it's a 10" line.
And, just for your safety, do not, I repeat DO NOT get confused on the name while trying to find a Google image and call it perfect ten...evidently that is an adult magazine. Jeez Google, I thought you had protection for that kind of stuff (no pun intended).
I am a hair product snob.  I get it honestly.  My mother-in-law is a hairdresser and has engrained it in my head that one thing you need to  spend money on is good products for your hair.  Evidently a lot of hair products leave residues, etc. that are really bad for your hair and fries it during your normal drying/styling process.
Anyways, this stuff is ahhhhh-mazing!  My hair has never felt so soft and healthy this long after having it cut as it does with this stuff.  Not to mention, I have recently been getting tons of compliments on how pretty my hair is.  Someone even told me they had hair envy (I wouldn't go that far, but it was a nice compliment nonetheless).

The second hair product that I am now addicted to is none other than Moroccan Oil.  This stuff is the shizzz, for real.  I promise.  I can't say enough about this stuff.  It makes your hair: dry faster, shinny, smooth, protected, and smell good.  Like I said before, my mother-in-law is a hair dresser, and evidently a pretty good one because she books up way in advance and I have used her for years and I have great judgement ;).  She swears by this stuff and said she has never seen a product that she felt so strongly about recommending....that is saying something she has been in the hair business over 20 years!

This guy.

[Three]
The  hubs and I are leaving for Desin, Florida tomorrow.  I am so excited to celebrate our anniversary with a getaway.  Let's hope so...

[Four]
Since it decided to be the rainiest day of the year on the 4th the husband and I opted to go see a movie instead of our towns traditional 4th of July bash.  We went and saw The Lone Ranger, which was really good.  And, lets just state the obvious, the cast members' looks are an upgrade from the original...along with the customs.

Something that made me laugh this week:

Five on Friday

-One- Yesterday I blogged about getting mason jars and all the endless summer possibilities.
Read about it here.

-Two- While blogging about dreams of a summer ladies night with fancy mason jars I happened upon these pictures of the arrangement we made for my wedding shower.  I LOVED my wedding shower it was perfect and my mom helping me make these made the whole thing come together...not to mention she is a "Pinterest Superstar" now for these bad boys.

-Three- This is what I have been doing this week for a workout.  We also went to the gym,  but it is SO crowded at night that you have to wait for machines, etc. forever so I haven't been motivated to go...it is frustrating to say the least.

-Four- The hubs and I will be here for our anniversary....and I can't wait!

-Five- This deserves mention in Five on Friday.  I got the Caramel & Coconut and it is delicious...does this negate the post about interval training?

5 on Friday

Five on Friday!
Better late than never!
-One- My hydrangeas are blooming!   I am so excited!  I planted them last year and babied them all summer and now it is paying off! I put my hand next to them to show how big the blooms are getting!

-Two- My sister-in-law flew in from Colorado, so we have been spending lots of time with family this week.  One of the things we did was go to Dollywood...it was okay...time with family was the best part.  Anyways, my father-in-law ALWAYS messes up family photos with funny faces, so we decided to get in on the fun...and guess who decided to be normal?!

-Three- One of our family adventures was visiting Mammoth Cave.  I highly recommend it if you live in or near the KY area.  I can't say enough about what a neat experience it was.  I admit, I have anxiety about stuff like that, but it was totally worth it and I am glad I didn't let my fear get the best of me....I must admit, I did have a minor freakout right before deciding I was going to such it up and go 350 feet underground!

-Four- It is wedding season and I am so excited to go to good friends weddings.  I am also spending time thinking about our wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica on July 7th of last year.  I can't wait to celebrate our 1 year anniversary in a couple of weeks.

-Five-  I am taking a hiatus from Facebook.  I was inspired by the time with family this week.  I often left my phone in my car, etc. and realized I was spending too much time on social media apps such as Facebook...I felt so much better really being 'present'....so I decided to see how long I can go without it.  My husband's response?  "That will save our marriage." (while he was being dramatic the feelings that spurred the comment were real)  I couldn't believe he said that, we never fight, etc. but he explained that he was annoyed by me always being on my phone....I never knew it bothered him!

5 on Friday

One:  Yay for starting a blog...I have been a blog follower for a LONG time.  I finally realized that it may be something I wanted to do as well...so here's to it being a success someday.  By the way, trying to format a blog with specialized background, etc. is HARD....I may just have to hire someone to do that!

Two: I ran yesterday (2 miles with some walking), did an ab challenge, and this.  I thought oh, this doesn't look bad, this will just vamp up what I have already done...WRONG...how often I forget that I am a fatty.  I mean seriously, I think I convince myself I am in shape at least 10 times a day.  Anyways, I think you should try it.
Pinterest Workout, but on the picture it says Domestic Mama, so I am assuming that is the source.
Three: I love getting new things, especially when they are monogrammed or chevron.  I got these phone covers off of a Facebook ad, believe it or not...Yes, they actually came in the mail (much to my husband's surprise).  They were 2 for $25.

New Phone Covers
Four:  I re-did our guest bathroom.  It was a very pale blue color and never really looked finished....here is the result.  I think I love it so much because the color is called "Elephant Grey" by Valspar.
New Bathroom

Five:  As you will learn, I love my dogs A LOT, but that doesn't mean they aren't a handful at times.  This week alone, they made it snow in the bedroom by tearing up a pillow.  Trey stole a bag of Doritos and proceeded to eat them...ALL. Kayne got in the bathtub WHILE I was trying to clean it...and that is just a few of our adventures from this past week.
He stole the Doritos.

Typical male...and not I did nothing to 'create' this picture.

Kayne, our Great Dane decided he needed to get in the bathtub, while I was trying to clean it!
